H.E.L.P. MEMORIAL GARDEN

Access Architecture provided pro-bono design services for a memorial garden to honor the life of a community member named Harley. Harley found self sufficiency through Beaverton School District’s Homeless Program (H.E.L.P.) and was an inspiration to those around him and with similar childhood adversity.

The design of the small-scale memorial engages the senses in a way that fosters introspection and interconnection. A water feature beings a calming presence to the space, while the rich materials of stone and wood bring a warmth to those that enter the circular memorial.
