Designed to be constructed for less than $100k, house 10-01 was envisioned as a prototype for cost-efficient single-family housing in the southern United States. The specific site chosen was located in Houston's Fifth Ward. Low-tech, sustainable design methods like cross ventilation are utilized as a way to increase performance while reducing costs.
