ALBERTA ALIVE - THE PAUL & GENEVA KNAULS

Through an innovative collaboration between Self Enhancement Inc (SEI) and Community Development Partners (CDP), “Alberta Alive” was conceived as a placemaking effort focused on supporting the African American community and low-income residents in permanently affordable community art spaces and housing at multiple sites along NE Alberta Street.

Part of this initiative includes the design and construction of two affordable housing developments. Both projects advance the vision of Alberta Alive by creating 52 new affordable housing units focused on serving local African American households. One site will deliver 21 units with a focus on serving families and children, while the other site will house 31 units for Veterans with wraparound services.
